Popular Resources
The Navigators has developed an extensive list of tools and resources over the years, including various illustrations, booklets, and sermons. If you stick around the SDSU Navs long enough, here are four big resources that you will most likely hear about! If these resources are helpful to you, an abundance of others can be found on the main Navigators website.
The Bridge IllustrationThe Bridge Illustration is a simple and interactive explanation of the Gospel message. In just a few short paragraphs, the illustration explains humanity’s separation from God and how Jesus became our way back to Him.
If you wish to share this illustration with others, it's easy to learn, you can write it anywhere, and it can be shared in a 10 to 15 minute conversation! A step-by-step guide on how to explain the One-Verse version of the Bridge (using Romans 6:23) can be found here! |
The Wheel IllustrationThe Wheel Illustration remains an effective discipleship tool for illuminating the keys of the Christian life - from the rim representing obedience to Christ, to the hub of Christ-centeredness, to each of the four spokes of witnessing, prayer, fellowship, and the Word.
If you need a simple, effective way to visually explain the structure of a God-glorifying life to someone you’re discipling, sharing The Wheel diagram can be as simple as drawing it out on a napkin or notepad. |
Topical Memory SystemThe Topical Memory System (TMS) was developed by The Navigators as a simple, easy-to-use system to help believers memorize key verses that point to basic truths and important instruction. If you want to memorize Scripture but aren’t sure what to memorize or how, this system is the perfect launching point to begin hiding God’s Word in your heart.

Discipleship Journal Plan: read from four separate places in Scripture for twenty-five days each month. You can start this plan anytime during the year! Book-at-a-Time Plan: read through the entire Bible in one year, reading in two spots each day - one spot alternates between Old and New Testament books, while the other takes you through a chapter of the wisdom literature and Isaiah. 5x5x5 Plan: read through the New Testament - five days a week, five minutes a day - using five different ways to dig deeper into the text. |
